I am writing some articles on Spanish cities…

…for a meager amount of money. It is not very interesting work, but it is something (I need to find a better job). Anyway, in the course of this, I notice that Google maps has finally gotten Europe up and running. They didn’t last year. This turns my stomach with a sense of the lost past: I can look at Monty from a bird’s eye view: there’s the Peyrou, there’s the Comédie, there’s the little Baker who makes the best croissant in the city, there’s my old pad. I think I need to get back into a country where I a foreigner: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is reputed to have the best weather in the world.

  2. Yea: telecommunications! Now, if the tech could actually transport me back to Monty for the afternoon, I’d be all about progress.
